Important notice: The pit and safety
• Natural with a pit: The dates are delivered in their authentic, unprocessed form, and each piece contains one pit. Thanks to the soft, pliable flesh, the pit can be removed very easily with fingers or a gentle slit.
• Children and safety: When serving dates to children, we recommend extra caution. Always remove the pit before eating. For small children, it’s safer to split the fruit lengthwise to make sure the pit is gone, then cut into smaller bites.
Storage & shelf life: How to keep freshness without chemicals
Our dates are a purely natural product with no chemical treatment or preservatives. To keep their taste and ideal texture, we recommend the following:
• After delivery: Once your parcel arrives, we recommend transferring the dates into an airtight container and placing them in the refrigerator.
• Best freshness in the fridge: After receiving your order, transfer the dates into an airtight container right away. In the fridge at +5 to +7 °C, they stay in perfect condition for at least 3 months.
• Odor protection: Dates are very sensitive to surrounding aromas. Storing them sealed is key so they don’t absorb smells from other foods in the fridge and keep their natural aroma.
• Long-term storage (up to 1 year): If you want to stock up for the year, you can safely freeze the dates. At -18 to -20 °C, they remain in ideal condition for 12 months. Low temperature is the most natural preservation method with no additives.
